A new radio show talks about open source and the new web, or Web2.0. They've got doc searls and dave winer and dave weinburger discussing and taking calls.
They have talked about how you don't need a Network / gate keeper / reporter to tell you what is important. You, formerly the audience, can take more of a role. More active. More responsible? I remember the iTunes commerical with the musicians sitting there waiting to give a personal concert. It's a different world.
Someone talked about Emerson waking up. What did Emerson say that pertains to this?
"distribute authority" - who said that?
Blogs came from when news wasn't covering what we (the audience) wanted. Dave talked about the Macintosh. But the audience could make there own story and they did that. Not only that, they gave everyone the tools to do it. thanks, Dave.
Craig put me in touch with a new site or book with a site. It's called nine shift. It compares 1870 - 1920 and 1970 - 2020. Using the car and the internet as threads. They say the car fundamentally changed human life and speculate that the internet will do the same. could happen. is it a positive thing? Is it up to us to make it a positive thing?
Get on board the clue train!
